Nafisa Roza (2024-25 Scholar), Sarah Jones, Helen Charnley, Sarah Banks, Alice Nah, Susan, Liz Lindsey, Patrick Dorey and Mike Thompson. Many thanks to Diana Collecott for the splendid tea afterwards. We raised over £4000.

Sponsored walk: a 10-mile loop south of Durham City to raise funds for the Ruth First Scholarship. Walkers: Sicelo Ngwenya (2022-23 Scholar), Pearson Nkhoma (2011-12 Scholar), Sarah Banks, Mike Thompson, Liz Lindsey, Nikki Rutter and Patrick Dorey, with back-up from Helen Charnley. We raised over £4000.

Soweto Gospel Choir concert in Durham Cathedral in memory of Ruth First (including a tribute by her daughter Gillian Slovo), attended by about 800 people.
